ACHIEVEMENTS

The reconstituted Commission at inauguration was charged to adhere to the constitutional provision in the discharge of their duties and to ensure that they conduct free, fair, credible and acceptable Local Government Elections.

Towards this end, the Commission has held meetings with various groups, traditional rulers, opinion leaders, Chairmen and Secretaries of all the registered political parties in the State.

At different fora, the Commission urged politicians to rise above internecine politics of killing, maiming and forceful removal of ballot boxes during election.
