What is EGIS? EGIS Goals EGIS Objectives

The Edo State Geographic Information Service – EGIS – is an Edo state government agency, providing geospatial services to the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of the Edo state government and the citizens of Edo state.

 

EGIS is operated under a concession agreement by the Agama Geoservices

Consortium, comprising specialist companies. Preparatory work has been

underway since March 2011 and EGIS began full operations in June 2011

 

EGIS is designed to secure and increase the revenues generated by the Ministry of Lands, Survey and Housing, and to provide geospatial

infrastructure and services including information, data, statistics and analysis that will support the departments within the Ministry, including Survey, Development Control and Town Planning in undertaking their statutory functions.
