Governor Godwin Obaseki

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has hailed Edo people, friends and associates for the outpouring of love and kind wishes during his 66th birthday celebration.

In a statement, the governor acknowledged the kind gestures of various groups who heeded the call to contribute to the well-being of the children with special needs and others who engaged in a clean-up exercise across the State, as part of activities to commemorate his birthday.

The statement reads: “I sincerely appreciate the outpouring of love and kind wishes from friends, associates, and the good people of Edo State on the occasion of my birthday.

“The show of love has been overwhelming. The efforts by different groups to organize and engage in a clean-up exercise across the state resonates deeply with the vision for a clean, safe, and orderly State, which remains one of our cardinal programmes as a government.

“I am grateful to all who heeded the call to contribute to the well-being of the children with special needs at the Roseluyi Exceptional Students Academy.”

The governor added, “Once again, I appreciate everyone who has made an effort to put a smile on the faces of the less privileged and contributed in various ways to the improvement of their communities in celebration of my birthday. God bless you all abundantly.”
