The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has mourned the passing of the Oyaneke of Ugboshi-Afe Kingdom, Oba James Adekoye Ojeifo, whose death was announced recently.
The governor, in a statement, commiserated with Ugboshi-Afe and the entire Akoko-Edo community, noting that the Oba was a uniting force who worked assiduously for the development of his community and the society at large.
According to him, “I received the news of the passing of the Oyaneke of Ugboshi-Afe Kingdom, Oba Adekoye Ojeifo with a heavy heart.
“A respected and loved traditional ruler, he stood for the development of his community and supported causes that would bring about progress and prosperity.
“It is even more painful that he passed at a time we needed his wisdom and advise the most, but we take solace in the fact that God knows best.
“I pray that the good Lord will grant his family and the Central Akoko-Edo clan the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. May his soul rest in peace.”
