The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, is at the 2022 edition of the Doha Forum, in Qatar, a global platform for dialogue, alongside other world leaders and policy makers to share policy innovations to solve the large scale economic shocks resulting from the covid-19 pandemic and other critical challenges.
The Doha Forum, the organizers said, “promotes the interchange of ideas and discourse towards policy making and action-oriented recommendation”.
The theme of the forum is: ‘Transforming For A New Era’.
The organizers maintained that “As the world recovers from the largest shock to the global economy since the Second World War, leaders and policymakers must come together to develop policy innovations aimed at saving the most lives and avoiding permanent damage.”
Governor Obaseki’s robust policies driven by modern technology across the education and health sectors as well as his administration’s huge premium on reforming the civil and public service to achieve efficiency continue to endear him to thought leaders across the globe.
These achievements, despite the associated challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, informed Obaseki’s selection for the global event.
