Your Tourist Destinations In Edo State this Easter Holiday

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has shown unwavering commitment in his determination to attract local and international investors through tourism to drive the State’s post-Covid-19 economy.

The upsurge in the number of business outlets in the State is attributable to the Governor’s investment-friendly policies and his determination to reposition the State’s tourism sector with its huge cultural and business potentials.

Most people look forward to holiday because it is a period of time during which people relax and enjoy themselves with their loved ones after a long period of work with its associated stress.

Edo State therefore welcomes all visitors and tourists in the State to the cradle of arts and culture, popular for its splendor, excellence and prized art works.

It is one of the States in Nigeria gifted with lots of tourist destinations depicting outstanding beauty and historical significance.

The business-friendly environment created by the Obaseki administration has led to a flourishing hospitality industry with hotel brands such as Best Western Homeville Hotel, Randekhi Royal Hotel, Doris Dey Hotel, Precious Palm Royal Hotel, Diamond Heights Hotel and a host of other world class hotels ready to host and offer tourists in the State a delightful experience this Easter season.

In Akoko Edo Local Government Area of the State, some tourist centers include the Afuze Sports Resort; Revelation Tourist Palazzo; Sand Beaches of Agenebode; Lampese Crocodile Lake; Ososo Tourist Site located at the rocky topography, which presents beautiful scenery for lovers of nature and rock climbers.

Besides Akoko Edo, other local government areas also boast of unique tourist sites and destinations that can host visitors during holiday periods.

The retail sector in the State is witnessing a boom of astronomical proportions due to the investment-friendly environment created by the Obaseki administration.

The administration has attracted over 30 new retail outlets which include Jara Supermarket and Stores, Market Square Shopping Mall, Domino Pizza and Cold Stone, Kilimanjaro, Reign Restaurant and Arcade, Valz Foods and others. Visitors and tourists in the State are encouraged to patronize these outlets for a unique experience.

Governor Obaseki has ensured adequate security measures in the State which give tourists a secure and safe environment to explore the State and enjoy themselves.

The Governor is very much committed to ensuring the security of life and property as he has put in place a comprehensive security architecture, including a well-equipped network of local vigilantes, working hand-in-hand with other security agencies to ensure a secure atmosphere for residents and visitors alike.

The Light-up Edo project has made life much easier and better as people can easily and safely navigate Benin City at night with adequate street-lights powered constantly by the independent power plant; the Ossiomo Power.
