In a momentous achievement, the Edo State Public Procurement Agency has been conferred with the Nigeria Govtech Public Service Award as the Best State Ministry/Department/Agency (MDA) for its outstanding advancements in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) adoption.
The prestigious accolade, which was bestowed upon the Agency by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms in a ceremony held at Abuja, recognizing the Agency’s unwavering dedication to integrating technology for enhanced efficiency, transparency and accountability in public procurement processes, was received on behalf of the State Government by the Managing Director, Edo State Public Procurement Agency (EDPPA), Mr Henry Imogiemhe Idogun.
According to the Managing Director, the award stands as a testament to the relentless hard work, visionary approach and collaborative endeavors of the Agency’s management and staff. Mr Idogun added that the award serves as a catalyst, fueling their determination to consistently elevate the standards of technology implementation in public procurement reforms.
In his words, “As the news of this recognition reverberates, the Agency extends its heartfelt gratitude to all stakeholders, staff and partners whose contributions played a pivotal role in achieving this milestone. The Agency remains steadfast in its commitment to paving the way for a digital future.”
He congratulated all the dedicated management and staff of the Edo State Public Procurement Agency for the well-deserved honour, stressing that this achievement is not merely a victory for the organization, but a triumph for the broader e-government procurement reform efforts.
The Managing Director expressed hope that this achievement would serve as a source of inspiration for maintaining the progress achieved in the field of digital governance, marking a significant step toward a more technologically advanced and transparent public sector.
