The Edo State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Hon. Osilama Okuofu, has sued for young people to participate in the forthcoming election as a way of promoting sustainable development in their locality.
Okuofu made the call recently in an interactive session with youths in Etsako East Local Government area of the State, during a ward-to-ward Hangout Session with his constituents.
He emphasized the importance of youth involvement in the electoral process, urging them to exercise their voting right and make their voices heard, towards shaping the future of the State.
While encouraging the youths to engage in constructive discussions on how to promote sustainable development in Etsako East, He stressed the need for collaborative efforts in addressing the LGA’s challenges and harnessing its potential.
Okuofu, who favours the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), highlighted the Party’s commitment to youth empowerment and inclusive governance, assuring young people that their voices would be heard and their concerns addressed under the PDP’s administration in the State.
The interactive session provided a platform for youth to share their concerns, ideas, and aspirations which Okuofu responded to by offering guidance on how young people could translate their visions into reality.
By encouraging youth participation and engagement, Hon. Okuofu demonstrated the state government’s commitment to inclusive governance and sustainable development, aimed at empowering young people to become active contributors to Edo State’s growth and prosperity under PDP leadership.
