The newly appointed Managing Director (MD) of the Edo State Waste Management Board (EWMB), Mr. Lucky Enehita-Inegbenehi, has officially resumed office today, 18th November, 2024, in Benin City, with a commitment to transforming the State into the cleanest in Nigeria.
During an inspection of the Board’s facilities, The MD assessed the operational capacities and identified areas requiring immediate attention.
In a meeting with the Management Team, he emphasized the importance of dedication, innovation, and teamwork in achieving the State’s waste management goals.
He outlined plans to engage residents in cleanliness campaigns and to introduce measures in enhancing waste management efficiency in the State.
He urged the Team to redouble its efforts, adopt sustainable practices, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure efficient waste collection, recycling, and disposal. “We have the potential to make Edo State a model for environmental cleanliness and sustainability in Nigeria. Let us work together to make this vision a reality,” he said.
Responding on behalf of the Team, the Director of Shared Services, Mr. Osagie Odigie Idiaghe, said the vision of the MD has begun to inspire renewed energy among the Team, saying they would gear up to deliver on the mandate.
The Team reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Mr. Inegbenehi’s leadership and to deliver on the shared goal of a cleaner, greener Edo State.
