Akoko-Edo local government council under the leadership of Rt Hon Alabi Bliss Oshionogue has felicitated with Chief Bisi Idaomi on her appointment as Edo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development.
The council boss noted that her appointment would foster a new paradigm and change the narrative of Akoko-Edo through the instrumentality of the state government.
Rt. Hon Alabi who disclosed that the appointment is well deserved, posited that the commissioner had carved a niche for herself in traversing the country and the world at large in her quest for human capital development, while calling on her to bring her expertise and exposures to bear as the local council embarks on a journey to reinvigorate the local government area and meet the yearning and aspirations of the people.
He lauded the stance of Edo state governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo by appointing the best brains to help redefine the state that is in dire need of development.
