In keeping with its commitment to transparency, accountability and quality service delivery, the Edo State Community and Social Development Agency (Edo-CSDA) has monitored the progress of ongoing micro-projects at Efandion, Ohe, Udomi, and Uwene-Illeh communities in Edo Central Senatorial District.
The exercise was led by the General Manager of the Agency, Ms. Ivie Idahosa with the Operations Manager, Barr. Imoudu Longe, with a focus on projects including rural electrification, school renovation and construction of Town Halls in the benefitting communities. The interventions are part of the Agency’s mandate to empower communities to take charge of their own development needs through people-oriented and sustainable projects.
According to Ms. Idahosa, the visit was aimed at monitoring progress and ensuring that standards are maintained.
“This supervision is not just a routine, it is our way of making sure that every project we deliver meets the highest standard. Our communities deserve infrastructure that will last, and that is why we are committed to close monitoring. These projects represent the priorities chosen by the people themselves, and it is our responsibility to see them through”. She said.
Ms. Idahosa further asserted that the projects will positively impact on benefiting communities.
“Electrification will stimulate businesses and improve living conditions, renovated schools will provide a better environment for our children to learn, while Town Halls will strengthen unity by giving people a central place to gather and make decisions”. She explained.
She concluded with the assurance that the Agency will continue to provide close supervisions until all projects are completed and handed over to communities, stating that the Agency is determined to deliver results that people can see, feel and take ownership of.
