The newly appointed Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs. Eugenia Abdallah, has pledged her commitment to working closely with staff of the Ministry to drive transformation and deliver on the Edo State Government’s SHINE agenda.
Mrs. Abdallah made the pledge while addressing management and staff at the Ministry’s premises in Benin City, where she officially resumed office. She expressed gratitude for the warm reception and emphasized the importance of teamwork, unity and open communication in achieving the Ministry’s goals.
The Commissioner stated that the purpose of the meeting was to establish a personal connection with each member of staff, stressing the importance of fostering a collaborative environment where all team members work together harmoniously. She expressed commitment to leading the Ministry through collective effort, mutual support, and shared responsibility.
Mrs. Abdallah assured staff of an open-door policy, encouraging them to freely share their concerns and suggestions on how best to improve service delivery in the Ministry. Highlighting the vision of the State Government, the Commissioner reiterated Governor Monday Okpebholo’s unwavering commitment to driving comprehensive transformation across all sectors of the State’s economy. She emphasized that the Governor remains resolute in his mission to reposition the State as a model of good governance, economic growth and inclusive development which other states can emulate.
During the engagement, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Joy Ihensekhien, assured the Commissioner of the unwavering support and cooperation of the entire workforce, emphasizing that their collective commitment to work, diligence in advancing the Ministry’s mandate and the broader vision of the State Government had always been the Hallmark of the Ministry’s activities.
