Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, at the burial of late Mrs. Angela Gbinije, at the weekend, extolled her virtues, describing her commitment to noble causes as “unforgettable and noteworthy.”
The burial ceremony of Late Mrs. Gbinije held at Effurun, Warri, Delta State, and had in attendance notable dignitaries from Edo, Delta and many other states across the country.
Obaseki said among the chief qualities of late Mrs. Gbinije was her exemplary life in promoting Jesus Christ.
He said, “the kind of life her children live reflects the influence of late Mrs. Gbinije on their upbringing. I thank God for her life.
“She lived a good Christian life and worked hard to preach Jesus Christ through her love for the Church. I believe she would want us to do something special in a Christian way to immortalise her. I urge Christians to emulate the virtue of selfless service to the community, which Mrs. Gbinije was known for.”
Chaplain, St. John the Baptist Catholic Chaplaincy, Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun, Delta State, Very Rev. Fr. Abaka Oghenejode, appreciated the governor for his works in Edo State, adding, “I pray that God will continue to use you to govern and develop Edo State and take it to an enviable height for other states in the country to emulate.”
