Ahead of the reconstruction work of the AUCHI-SASARO-IGARRA-AIYETORO-UNEME-NEKUA-IBILLO-EKOR-IKIRAN-OKE Federal Government Road, which was flagged off last week by the Edo State Governor, Sen. Monday Okpebholo, the Local Government Council Chairman of Akoko-Edo, Rt. Hon. Alabi Bliss Oshionogue has visited the construction site in company of his ‘Akpakorescue’ Team to take delivery of Equipment.
Addressing Journalists during the engagement, Rt. Hon. Oshionogue commended the State Governor, Sen. Okpebholo for keeping his promise of reconstructing the Road, which he described as a critical infrastructure that will alleviate the plight of motorists and enhance security in the axis.
The visibly elated Council Chairman noted that the Local Government Area has never had it so good and prayed God to strengthen the Governor in his determination to carry out more developmental projects across the State. He restated the State Government’s commitment on full reconstruction work on the Federal Government’s Road, calling on all stakeholders to cooperate with the Contractor to enable him deliver the project on record time.
“Reconstruction of this 9.61km Road is another promise kept by the Governor. 2027 is possible for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and as beneficiaries of his Renewed Hope agenda, we must replicate this gesture by securing his second term come 2027,” Rt. Hon. Oshionogue concluded.
