‎The Akoko-Edo Local Government Council Chairman, Rt. Hon. Alabi Bliss Oshionogue, on behalf of the Akoko-Edo “Akpako-rescue” Team and the good people of Akoko-Edo, has congratulated the Edo State Governor, His Excellency, Distinguished Sen. Monday Okpebholo and his Deputy, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa on the Supreme Court Judgement, which affirmed their victory as duly elected Governor and Deputy Governor in the Edo State Governorship election held Saturday, 21th September, 2024.
‎In the Congratulatory message signed by Rt. Hon. Oshionogue, he described the victory as well deserved, as according to him, the people of Edo State voted overwhelmingly for Sen. Okpebholo and Rt. Hon. Idahosa as Governor and Deputy Governor of the State, respectively.
‎Rt. Hon. Oshionogue asserted that the Supreme Court pronouncement, which has ended all forms of distractions against the Sen. Okpebholo’s administration as Governor of Edo State, will pave way for steady development in all sectors of the State’s economy. He called the people of Akoko-Edo to support his administration at the Local Government level and that of the Governor at the State level, to foster the needed people-oriented change across the State.
‎The Council Boss pledged to be consistent in implementing developmental projects in his Council area in line with the SHINE Agenda of the Governor on practical governance to deliver the dividends of good governance to residents in the State.
