The Chairman of Akoko-Edo Local Government Area (LGA), Rt. Hon. Alabi Bliss Oshionogue, on behalf of the Council, has congratulated Architect Emmanuel Fashanu on his appointment as the Executive Director (ED) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Edo State Flood, Erosion and Watershed Management Agency (EdoFEWMA), by the Edo State Governor, His Excellency, Distinguished Sen. Monday Okpebholo.

Rt. Hon. Oshionogue stated that the appointment of Architect Fashanu followed the replacement of the erstwhile ED and CEO of the Agency, Ahmed Musa Momoh, who was relieved of his position. He declared, “Architect Emmanuel Fashanu, An Akoko-Edo indigene, is a seasoned Architect with experience spanning over two decades. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Bsc.) Degree in Architecture from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 1999 and a Masters’ Degree in Architecture from the University of Jos, in 2011. He is also a member of the Nigeria Institute of Architects (MNIA).”

The Council Boss appreciated the Edo State Governor, Distinguished Sen. Monday Okpebhol o for carrying Akoko-Edo citizens along in the scheme of things, stating that the LGA is not regretting for voting en masse for him during the 2024 September 21st Gubernatorial Election in the State. He prayed God for more guidance and protection for Mr. Governor in his determination to change the narrative of the State.

The Chairman said that the Governor’s unprecedented development across the State has made him the cynosure of all eyes and pledged to replicate such development in his Council Area.
