The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, will tomorrow, November 12, 2021, during the 2021 Alaghodaro Summit, bring together Edo citizens at home and in Diaspora, investors from across the globe and other stakeholders to review impacts of the numerous programmes, reforms and initiatives by the administration to better the lives of Edo people, with the aim of improving and sustaining the gains recorded in the last five years.

The summit, in its fifth edition, is scheduled to take place between November 12 and 14, 2021, with the theme, “Edo of Our Dreams: Building a Sustainable Future.”

According to Chairman, Marketing and Branding Sub-Committee, Alaghodaro 2021, Crusoe Osagie, who spoke to journalists in Benin City, the summit, among other objectives, will interrogate the progress made, ensuring that the state is on the path of prosperity.

“All is set for this year’s Alaghodaro, which aims to showcase investment opportunities in the state and the numerous achievements, reforms and initiatives by the administration to improve the living standard of the people.

“Residents are in high spirit as the summit presents, among other things, another opportunity for the government, the people and other stakeholders to brainstorm on the impact of the government’s reforms and policies and review efforts at placing the state on a sustainable path of prosperity for the future.”

Osagie further noted, “The Governor Godwin Obaseki-led administration was clear from the onset on its vision for the state, pursuing numerous projects and programmes to achieve a modern and progressive Edo where every citizen is empowered with the opportunity to live life to its fullest.

“This year’s Alaghodaro will serve as a platform to improve on the gains recorded in the last five years and explore the different dimensions of the State’s competitive advantage, deliberating on the strategic approaches for harnessing them to deliver an inclusive and sustainable economy.”
