1. Decision to remove all structures under the high transmission lines in the state due to the associated health hazards and imminent danger of electrocution and incineration was reached.
Following this therefore, there will be massive advocacy campaigns and public enlightenment to ensure that people are carried along.
Government therefore expects all residents and indigenes of the state to comply with this safety rule and begin immediate relocation from affected areas
2. Government has moved to beef up the security in all state institutions including hospitals, government offices and schools among others.
Edo people are therefore enjoined to calm and go about their daily duties wit assurance of government’s resolve to ensure their safety and protection.
3. The interview that public servants are currently undergoing is not a competency test as is being described in many quarters, the people we have working for the government are already competent but we need to assess them in order to know the areas were they require capacity enhancement.
It is necessary to state categorically that no worker will lose their jobs no matter their performance in the interviews.
Signed.
Paul Ohonbamu Esq.
Honourable Commissioner of Communication and Orientation.
