The Executive Chairman of Oredo Local Government Council, Dr. Tom Obaseki, has lauded the remarkable development experienced by Edo people predicated on the benevolent leadership and pragmatic problem-solving approach of His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Apkolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, the Oba of Benin.
This commendation was contained in a congratulatory message delivered by Dr. Tom Obaseki on Friday, 20th October, 2023, during the ceremonies marking the 7th anniversary Coronation of the Oba of Benin Kingdom.
Dr. Obaseki in his statement said, “His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, the Oba of Benin, epitomizes various virtues, including diligence, excellence, and integrity. During the seven years of Your Royal Majesty’s reign as the 40th Oba of Benin, the Edo people have experienced unparalleled development due to Your Royal Majesty’s fatherly dispositions and concerns in the State and beyond.
“As a people, we have reaped the benefits of Your Royal Majesty’s fatherly role in fostering stability, peace, and progress within the State and the nation as a whole. On behalf of the Council and the residents of Oredo Local Government Area (LGA), I extend our heartfelt congratulations to Your Royal Majesty, the Oba of Benin”.
The statement added that Dr. Obaseki also expressed his gratitude to the Oba of Benin for organizing a two-day medical outreach at the Benin Palace, which provided essential healthcare services to Edo residents and especially those in Oredo LGA.
