Edo State Commissioner for Youth and Humanitarian Affairs, Hon. Zubairu Dada Abubakar has met with the Minister of Niger Delta Development, Engr Hon. Abubakar Momoh who assured that Youths in the state will be empowered.
The Commissioner who was on a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Niger Delta Development, the Ministry of Youth and the Ministry of Humanitarian and Poverty Alleviation in Abuja, was told by the Hon. Minister for Niger Delta Development that as soon as he settles down, issues regarding youth empowerment in Edo State will be of top priority.
The Minister for Niger Delta Development who was elated to receive the delegation from Edo State emphasised the importance of the Ministry of Youth and Humanitarian Affairs liaising and working closely with his office.
At the Ministry of Humanitarian and Poverty Alleviation office, the Commissioner who was accompanied by the Director of Youth, Mr. Victor Asiriuwa JP and the Director of Humanitarian, Mrs. Joy Izegaegbe met with the Super Director of Humanitarian and the Secretary to the Hon. Minister, who also expressed their willingness work with Edo State Government closely.
It was disclosed during the meeting that Edo state is the third state in Nigeria having the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs.
