Edo Delegation Inspects Makkah Kitchens Ahead of 2025 Hajj

The Edo State delegation to Saudi Arabia for pre-Hajj visit led by the Chairman, Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mallam Musah Muhammad Uduimoh and Executive Secretary Alhaji Eranga Abdulkabir Muhammadkabir, has conducted a rigorous inspection of kitchen facilities selected to cater to the state’s intending pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj recently in Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The inspection team meticulously evaluated the hygiene, capacity, and overall suitability of the kitchens to ensure the provision of safe, hygienic, and nutritious meals for Edo State pilgrims during their spiritual journey.

According to Chairman Uduimoh who spoke through a video WhatsApp call during the inspection, ” We are inspecting the capacity of each kitchen to efficiently prepare meals for the expected number of pilgrims from Edo State. As a state, we must ensure we give the best to our pilgrims. Feeding is one very important aspect of this”

In his response, the executive secretary, Alhaji Eranga noted, “We are scrutinizing the cleanliness of the kitchen premises, including cooking areas, storage facilities, and utensils. The inspection also covers adherence to food safety regulations, proper food handling techniques, and the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients”

This proactive measure underscores the Board’s commitment to the well-being and comfort of all pilgrims from the state.
