The Coordinator of the office of the Edo State First Lady, Mrs. Edesili Okpebolo Anani, has played host to the Winner of the 2025 edition of Miss Beauty Pageant International, Daniella Oshawo, with the Twinsporium Entertainment Agency, who were on a courtesy visit at the Government House in Benin City, Edo State.
Mrs. Anani appreciated the Beauty Queen, Miss Oshawo, for her pet project, which is donating furniture to underdeveloped schools in Edo State and reiterated the State Government’s commitment to ensuring that every child in the State has access to free education in a conducive environment.
According to her, “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. An investment in education pays the best interest. Education is our passport to the future; for tomorrow belongs only to the people who prepare for it today. A new Edo has risen in our educational system”.
Miss Oshawo applauded Mrs. Anani’s efforts in combating gender-based violence in the State and sued for consistency in the crusade. She said her pet project was inspired by her visit to some primary schools, which she described as lacking basic furniture. She also sued for improved educational infrastructure.
She assured that her pet project would implement strategies to collectively create a conducive learning environment that will foster academic excellence and promote pupils’ comfort and engagement in the State.
“Education is the cornerstone of societal progress and it is pertinent we ensure that our children have access to quality education. Unfortunately, many schools in our State face significant challenges in providing adequate infrastructure and resources for their students. This project seeks to address this challenge by providing essential furniture to underdeveloped schools,” the Beauty Queen concluded.
