Speaking at the two-day training programme in Benin City, Permanent Secretary, Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Deborah Enakhimion Esq., charged the workers to be diligent and more committed to discharging their duties.
She noted that the training was designed to boost service delivery in the agency, urging the ICTA staff to leverage the opportunity of the training to ensure better service to Edo people, in line with the vision of Governor Godwin Obaseki.
Enakhimion, who assured the state government’s commitment to the welfare of workers, said the government is determined to retool and equip the workers with the right skill-set to meet the demands of the present-day world.
In her remarks, the functioning Executive Director of ICTA Corporate Services, Mrs. Emajoba Iyama, noted that the training, at the instance of the Edo State Head of Service, was divided into sections to accommodate all staff of the agency.
She further enjoined the participants to “listen attentively and make good use of the opportunity; read all the materials provided to equip yourself with the latest innovation in today’s ICT space.”
Commending the state government for the opportunity of the training aimed at upskilling the agency’s staff, Iyama urged the workers to support the government in realizing the vision of making Edo great again.
One of the participants, Mr. Raphael Atogbo, hailed the government for the training, describing it as educating and enlightening.
