Edo State Conducts Pre-Hajj Visit to Saudi Arabia

The Chairman of Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mallam Musah Muhammad Uduimoh and the Executive Secretary Alhaji Eranga Muhammadkabir Abdulkabir, have traveled to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prepare for the upcoming 2025 Hajj pilgrimage.

The officials who are currently in Saudi Arabia with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) team to finalize crucial arrangements for the smooth and successful pilgrimage of Edo State pilgrims are expected to negotiate and secure suitable accommodation for pilgrims from Edo State in Makkah and Madinah.

According to the chairman, Mallam Musah Muhammad Uduimoh who spoke via a WhatsApp voice note today, logistics coordination is part of the arrangement to be perfected during the visit.

He said, “Arranging transportation, catering, and other essential logistical services to ensure the comfort and safety of our pilgrims throughout their journey is a priority for us”

“We need to work with Saudi authorities in establishing and maintaining effective communication with relevant stakeholders to address any potential challenges and ensure a seamless pilgrimage experience for Edo State pilgrims”

The Executive Secretary in his response noted that the pre-Hajj mission is a crucial step in ensuring a well-organized and fulfilling Hajj experience for all pilgrims from the state. He added that they are working closely with NAHCON and relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia to address any concerns and ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place for a safe and spiritually enriching pilgrimage.
