‎The Edo State Government through its Training arm, the John Odigie-Oyegun Public Service Academy (JOOPSA) has concluded a five-day intensive training on graphic design and web development, aimed at strengthening capacity and enhancing skills development in its Service.

‎Speaking at the closing session of the Training, the Director-General (DG) of JOOPSA, Dr. (Mrs.) Gina Otamere, congratulated participants on the successful completion of the programme. She reaffirmed the Academy’s role as an enabler of human capital development in Edo State. “Our focus at JOOPSA is strengthening capacity and enhancing skills development. This training is a testament to our commitment as an institution that equips individuals with relevant knowledge for the future”. She stated.

‎Dr. Otamere lauded the Edo State Governor, His Excellency, Sen. Monday Okpebholo, for his visionary leadership and support towards digital innovation in the State. According to her, “The Governor’s agenda for a digitally skilled and empowered workforce is the driving force behind programmes like this. His commitment to bridging knowledge and technology gaps continues to inspire our work at JOOPSA and we remain dedicated to translating his vision into practical impact”.

‎The training was facilitated by a team of professionals from D-Expertz Computer Technology, under the leadership of Mrs. Juliet Akpovona, who took participants through practical sessions on graphic design and website development.

‎In his feedback, Mr. Idiafo Kingsley from the State’s Bureau of Statistics, applauded the quality of the training and commended the facilitators for their patience and ability to carry every participant along throughout the sessions.

‎Delivering the vote of thanks, Mr. Okundaye Malcolm from Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS), appreciated the Governor, Sen. Okpebholo, the DG of JOOPSA, Dr. (Mrs.) Otamere with her Team, for organizing the impactful programme. He noted that the training uniquely bridged generational gaps between the 80’s and the Generation Z, in order to close the divide in knowledge and technological skills.

‎The training which attracted a diverse group of participants, further underscored JOOPSA’s vision of preparing the State’s workforce for contemporary challenges in governance and technology.
