In line with its commitments towards ameliorating the plight of the vulnerable, the Edo State Government through its Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, has paid a solidarity visit to Project Charilove, a haven for children, orphans and youths with special needs.

The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Chief Bisi Idaomi Esq., during the visit in Benin City, expressed appreciation for the tireless efforts of the Foundation’s Management and staff, commending their selflessness and dedication to providing care and support to those in need. She added that the scope of the projects toured at the Foundation’s facilities, including various buildings under construction, were impressive and pledged to convey the remarkable work being done, as well as the challenges to the Governor, Sen. Monday Okpebholo.

Chief Idaomi assured Project Charilove of the Governor’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the protection and welfare of children and vulnerable populations in the State.

The Chairman, Board of Trustees of Project Charilove, Dr. Richard Iyasere expressed gratitude to the Commissioner for taking time to visit the Foundation. He appreciated her for recognizing the Foundation’s efforts and for her encouraging words, which he said would spur them to be more committed to the task of ministering to the needs of the vulnerable in society.

Present at the visit included the Director of Project Charilove, Rev. FR. Ujah Ejembi, SJ; the Secretary of the Board of Directors, Prof. Chris Ugolo, Project Charilove staff members amongst others.
