Also speaking during the training exercise, the Managing Director, JOOPSA, Ms. Precious Imuwahen Ajoonu, stated that the training was based on Governor Obaseki’s commitment to up-skill the State’s public service in areas of leadership, management, technical skills and information technology, in order to promote efficiency and effectiveness in the State’s civil and public service.
Ajoonu further stated that JOOPSA is anchored on four pillars of human capital development which are; training, research, consultancy and education, as the Academy aims to be in the league of the best international and innovative centres of excellence in learning and development, and the first choice learning and development institute in Africa.
The training had in attendance Permanent Secretaries, Directors, and some staff of selected Ministries Department and Agencies (MDAs) in the State alongside international and local training partners such as the Project Management Institute of Nigeria, amongst others.
