In compliance with the electronic means of payment initiated by the Governor Godwin Obaseki administration to engender ease in carrying out business transactions in the state, Edo State Government, through the Edo State Internal Revenue Service, has organized a training exercise for staff of the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Tourism on the generation of payment assessment codes.
The training which was held at the instance of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Iryn Omorogiuwa Esq., was to further strengthen the e-method of doing businesses in the state, in line with the state government’s desire to render quality services to the people of the state.
In her address, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Arts, Culture and Tourism, Iryn Omorogiuwa Esq., called on hotel owners, lounges, travel agents and other stakeholders in the tourism and hospitality sector, to take advantage of the current opportunities to register, renew and obtain their operational licenses at the Edo State Ministry of Arts, Culture and Tourism.
Staff of the Ministry who partook in the training exercise commended Edo State Government and the Edo State Internal Revenue Service, for the knowledge acquired.
Elder Monday Edionsere, a representative of WAYNITAZ Foods, a hospitality outfit, commended the process and the technological innovation initiated by the present administration, noting that the new e-payment platform will encourage effectiveness, efficiency and transparency in the business environment of the state.
