The Edo State Ministry of Arts, Culture and Tourism, has reiterated the need for civil and public servants in the State to key into the transformation agenda of the Governor Godwin Obaseki-led administration.
This call was made by the Permanent Secretary, Iryn Omorogiuwa Esq, during the presentation of the Performance Assessment and Evaluation of staff of the Ministry, in Benin City, the State capital.
This is coming on the heels of various training which staff of the ministry as well as other civil and public servants have had in recent times.
Recall that staff members of the ministry were recently trained on how to package and showcase the rich cultural heritage of Edo people to the world.
During the Performance Assessment, the Permanent Secretary stated that the Evaluation presentation was aimed at examining the job performance of staff and also to evaluate their compliance with daily work schedules. She noted that the performance evaluation gives staff a better understanding of what is expected of them as well as help the management to properly and appropriately place the staff.
While acknowledging the significance of technology and innovation in driving culture and tourism, Omorogiuwa advised staff to be innovative and technologically-driven.
This she noted will help to promote the rich cultural heritage of Edo people both nationally and internationally in line with the MEGA Agenda of the State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki.
