The Edo Traditional Medicine Board has organized its first staff orientation program at the premises of the Ministry of Health in Benin City.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Cyril Adams Oshiomhole commended the Board’s dedication and urged them to continue their efforts, while emphasizing on the fact that traditional medicine should be seen as an alternative health solution, not something to fear.
Earlier, the Secretary of the Traditional Medicine Board, Dr. Joy Mike Opara highlighted the purpose of the meeting as a way to guide new staff on their roles while expressing gratitude to the Commissioner for his continuous support.
The program featured a presentation on the Board’s history and its achievements, presentation of awards to dedicated members of staff with special recognition given to the Commissioner for Health and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Stanley Ehiarimwian.
