Edo State Skills Development Agency, the job creation initiative of the Governor Godwin Obaseki-led administration, has partnered with the National Business and Technical Education Board (NABTEB) to enhance technical education and skills development among the youth of Edo State. The partnership is aimed at promoting technical education and skills development in the state through the accreditation of all Edojobs Skills Centers in the state to carry out NABTEB trade test certification examinations.

This collaboration implies that beneficiaries of Edojobs skills development training can now be certified by NABTEB, and individuals seeking to take NABTEB examinations can do so at any of the Edojobs skills centres spread across the state.

Speaking on this development, Mrs Violet Obiokoro, the Managing Director of Edojobs, expressed the agency’s commitment to providing the youth of Edo State with access to the best skills development opportunities and resources available to enable an improved and sustainable source of livelihood. She noted that the partnership between Edojobs and NABTEB was a significant step towards promoting technical education and skills development in Edo State which would over time birth stable entrepreneurs.

With the accreditation of all Edojobs skills centres by NABTEB, individuals can now take advantage of the opportunity to acquire the necessary skills and certifications, which will enable them to compete with global talents and be self-sufficient in their chosen field.

Through this partnership, Edojobs and NABTEB are dedicated to ensuring that the youth have access to the best technical education and skills development opportunities available, and the partnership is expected to empower youths to become self-sufficient and contribute meaningfully to the economic development of Edo State and Nigeria.
