The Chairman of Egor Local Government Area, Hon. Kelvin Ighodaro Eguakun has provided a 500KVA transformer to Universal Street at Okhoro Community to enhance supply of electricity to homes in area.
At the installation site of the transformer, Hon. Eguakun stated that providing the transformer to the Okhoro Community was part of his administration’s service to the people, saying the people of the LGA have right to dividends of good governance. He claimed that the transformer would help to improve illumination in the area, support small medium scale business, and reduce criminal activities, which thrive in the dark.
Hon. Eguakun assured that the transformer would serve its purpose, assuring that it was warrantied for two years. He added that the provision of the transformer is a milestone in the Community’s quest for better infrastructure and improved living conditions.
A resident of Universal Street, Prince Olatunji, stated that the area has been in complete darkness as a result of no functional transformer in the area. He appreciated the Council Chairman for his prompt response in providing the transformer to alleviate the people’s suffering.
