Edo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Chief Bisi Idaomi Esq., re-emphasized the crucial role of unity and strategic collaboration among stakeholders in advancing inclusive and sustainable development through initiatives on empowering women across the State.
Chief Idaomi made the assertion in her office in Benin City, while playing host to the leaders of Akoko-Edo Local Government Area, who visited to commend her dedication to the affairs of the vulnerable.
She harped on the need for synergy in ensuring that Government initiatives of advancing the welfare of women and other vulnerable groups, reach the grassroots, urging stakeholders to embrace a spirit of cooperation, while reminding them that sustainable social transformation is only possible when all parties work together towards common goals.
The Commissioner acknowledged the consistent support which the Akoko-Edo leadership had continually shown towards the administration of His Excellency, Governor Monday Okpebholo, noting that the collaborative efforts and alignment with the Governor’s development agenda had been instrumental in driving meaningful progress across the State.
She asserted that the collective commitment and collaboration will further accelerate the State’s development trajectory.
While outlining plans to expand programmes targeting the upliftment of women, children and other vulnerable populations, Chief Idaomi noted that the Government remains committed to sustaining and deepening its partnership in promoting women’s empowerment.
In his remark, the Vice Chairman of Akoko-Edo Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. Tope Jacob, commended the remarkable strides of Governor Okpebholo’s administration, describing it as a People-oriented Government, which is committed to inclusive development at all levels. He lauded the administration’s focus on delivering tangible progress that directly benefits citizens across the State and reaffirmed the unwavering commitment and support of the people of Akoko-Edo to the Edo State Government.
