Nehikhare charges Edo Women in Safe Hands on Asue/Ogie Victory

By Aichienede Akhabue Goodluck

Ahead of the Edo State Governorship Election, the State Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Mr. Chris Nehikhare has canvassed for more support towards the victory of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Candidacy of Asue/Ogie when he played host to the Women’s Wing of the Edo in Safe Hands Executives and members in Benin City.
Mr. Nehikhare noted that the role of the women is sacrosanct to assure victory for the PDP in the forthcoming State Governorship Election, stressing that women are vital instruments for mobilization and enlightenment of the populace and grassroot residents.
The Commissioner emphasized that victory for the PDP would help to guarantee the sustainability of the remarkable and landmark achievements of the Governor Godwin Obaseki’s administration. He urged the women to sustain the momentum of campaign and mobilization for the PDP at their various local government areas (LGA), wards and units.
Mr. Nehikhare pledged to support the Edo in Safe Hands Team towards the acquisition of publicity and campaign materials that will enhance their galvanization of votes from the people across the 18 LGAs of Edo State. He charged the women not to relent in their commitment to the victory of the PDP because of the lies and cheap propaganda orchestrated by the main opposition Party in the State.
Earlier, the Leader and State Coordinator of the Women’s Wing of Edo in Safe Hands, Hon. Mrs. Evelyn Inneh, while commending Governor Obaseki for the numerous outstanding projects executed under his leadership, stated that her Team is committed to the mobilization of women and residents of the State to vote for the PDP at the forthcoming poll.
She solicited the support of the Commissioner in equipping the Team with campaign and publicity materials that will help to drive their goals and mandate of ensuring victory for the PDP across the State, nothing that their mobilization strategies in the past have led to the emergence of many leaders and office holders in the State.
The Team included the 18 LGAs heads and some members of the Women’s Wing of Edo in Safe Hands. The visit was climaxed by the presentation of Our Steward Publication (Vol. 3) by the Commissioner as souvenir to the Team and a group photograph.
