Our mandates include training of education managers, planners and administrators, performing evidence based researches to help inform policies formation and dissemination of such information to educationists,” she explained.

Meanwhile, Governor Godwin Obaseki acknowledged the need to train education practitioners, noting that ‘you cannot give what you do not have’.

He said: “We don’t have the capacity and resources to tackle all the challenges, but we want to prioritise primary education, because the key problem is at the basic level. We have started by restructuring our State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), we are sourcing the data and people to manage our education system at this level and we will need your help as we take our action steps,” he said.
