The Edo State Ministry of Information and Communications is pleased to announce the commencement of a recruitment exercise for qualified, competent, and passionate individuals into the re-organized and re-structured Edo State Security Corps by the committee tasked to make it more effective and efficient. The Committee is to recruit and train qualified candidates into the Corps.
ELIGIBILITY:
Shortlisted candidates who will be drawn from each Local Government Area of Edo State includes:
– Local Hunters
– Vigilantes
– Retired Military and Police Personnel
– Other interested citizens both indigenes and non-indigenes who have lived in the Community for a long time.
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must possess-
I. basic educational background, of sound mind, physically fit, no criminal records and must not be a member of any secret cult.
II. Candidates must provide 2 references who must be well known persons within the community and also provide at least 3 close acquaintances.
III. Candidates must also have 2 guarantors; one is the Local Government Chairman and the other a clergy (Pastor or Imam)
Please note the Committee will not accept names from anybody and are at liberty to disqualify as deem appropriate.
IV. Previous work experience in security sector will be an advantage.
This professional recruitment strategy is aimed at providing a Corps equipped solely to support other security agencies in combating crime in Edo State.
