Special Adviser on Oil and Gas pledges commitment to serving Edo people

The newly appointed Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor, Sen. Monday Okpebholo, on Oil and Gas, Felix Osemwengie Isere Esq., has assured of his resolve to serve the people of the State through the discharge of his official duties.

The Special Adviser gave the assurance when he paid an official visit to the Ministry of Mining and Energy at the Secretariat Complex in Benin City. According to him, the visit marked an important step in his new role, as he sought to familiarize himself with the Ministry’s operations and identify areas where he could make positive impact in the Oil and Gas Sector of the State.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Martina Ese Omoruyi, who welcomed him expressed optimism that collaborating with him would contribute in achieving the State Government’s vision for the Oil and Gas sector. The S. A. appreciated the Permanent Secretary for her warm reception and willingness for harmonious working relationship.

Emphasizing his commitment to serving the people of Edo State, Isere Esq. cited his decision to leave a lucrative job in the United Kingdom to join the Governor Okpebholo-led administration in serving the State. He attested to the Governor’s dedication to treating civil servants with respect and dignity.

The Special Adviser thereafter outlined his strategies for addressing challenges facing the Oil and Gas sector in the State and expressed his eagerness to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to elevate the Oil and Gas sector to greater heights.
