The SSG made the plea during a special Friday prayer session at Igun Central Mosque in Benin City, organized to commemorate the governor’s first 100 days in office.

The Ikhilor emphasized that Governor Okpebholo is deeply committed to improving the lives of Edo residents and urged citizens to rally behind his administration.

He noted: “Okpebholo’s coming as a governor is divine intervention from God to save the people of Edo from what we have endured over the last eight years,”

Hon. Audu highlighted the administration’s comprehensive SHINE programme, which focuses on security, healthcare, infrastructure, natural resources, education, and human capital development.

He said: “We have made tremendous efforts to develop these sectors, and by God’s grace, we have started well and will end well,”

The special prayer session was attended by several prominent figures, including Imaams from various Muslim communities, the Chairman of the Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mallam Musah Muhammad Uduimoh, the Chairman of the Edo State Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Abdulazeez Igbinidu, and the Managing Director of Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS), Suleman Aledeh, among others.
