The event will recognise and award outstanding teachers, and there will be a gala night. There will be school visitations and a parent's summit where a panel will discuss values-based education. There will also be a sports competition - “Governor’s cup” and an EduCHEF competition
She reiterated the resolve of the State Government to continue the enforcement of the Child Rights Law in the State, which forbids any child of school age to be loitering during school hours

“For us as Edo people we want to see how we can change the entire spectrum of education, extending the value to 15 and 18-year-olds,” the Governor said, adding that his government would sustain the partnership towards maximizing the support from the World Bank and other development partners.
“The needs and expectations of schools motivate the training modules for every session and class held. When a proper plan is drawn, the school system will never wave.”
