
The Edo State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Hon. Barr. Vincent Osas Uwadiae, has pledged to promote synergy and professionalism to achieve effective service delivery and to deliver on the SHINE agenda of the State Governor, His Excellency, Sen. Monday Okpebholo.
Barr. Uwadiae made the commitment during an engagement with the Management and staff of the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development at its Headquarters in Benin City.
Emphasizing the importance of teamwork, the Commissioner urged staff to cooperate and work as a family, noting that unity of purpose is essential for success. “I want us to work together like one big family. We want our impact to be felt in the State, and we can only achieve this when we have one mind and one goal,” he stated.
Outlining his plans, the Commissioner announced that the Ministry would intensify efforts in enforcing urban planning regulations across Edo State. He stressed that strict measures would be taken to curb indiscriminate building in unauthorized areas and ensure adherence to proper planning standards, particularly in Benin City, to enhance orderly development.
The Managing Director of the Edo State Development and Building Control Agency, Hon. Igabali Imoisili Darlington, assured staff of the Commissioner’s readiness to elevate the Ministry’s performance.
Speaking on behalf of the staff, Town Planner, Badmus Nojeem, pledged their full support and commitment to working with the Commissioner to achieve the Ministry’s goals.
